The West 10th Avenue local was the first Sacred Heart Tattoo and Body PIercing locale.Opened in May of 1991 it was the first new tattoo studio to open in over a decade in Vancouver. Over the years since many talented, prolific and "infamous" tattoo artists have worked out of this studio.Located a few doors west of Alma Street on the edge of Vancouver's Point Grey neighborhood a few blocks from Jericho beach. ph: 604 224 1149 Up the hill five minutes is the UBC campus.The building itself was built in the1920's and has housed many shops, most noteably a small popular speakeasy in the 60's and early seventies.Sacred Heart Tattoo and Body Piercing on West 10th offers tattooing seven days a week- by appointment or walk-in. The studio space has been recently updated and boasts three semi private tattoo areas.   |
